Jacob Fisher – Head Baseball Coach

What happens when homegrown talent becomes a homegrown head coach? Jacob Fisher is eager to illustrate that point.

The 26-year-old Fisher was hired as the head baseball coach at Zachary High on Thursday. Fisher, a former ZHS player who was part of the Broncos’ Class 4A state title team in 2008, has been a Bronco assistant coach for four years.

“This Bronco program and the city of Zachary mean everything to me,” Fisher said.

Fisher succeeds his former coach, Jesse Cassard, who resigned earlier this month to become head baseball coach at Sulphur High. It is Fisher’s first head coaching job.
